There are a large array of FOSS video capture, editing and post-production tools out there. Unfortunately not as much time and energy has been put in as yet to make FOSS editing tools really competitive with their proprietary counterparts however HyperEngine-AV fro Mac is one programme that is certainly up to the task. We haven't included a serious editing programme for Windows as we didn't feel the programmes we surveyed we sufficiently up to scratch. Editing video on Linux similarly is also a difficult process however it is quite possible with some patience.
